SMS Messaging Terms & Compliance
1. Program Description
This messaging program sends service updates and follow-up messages to customers who have contacted David's Lock and Key about locksmith services through our website at https://davidslockandkeyut.com, through the chat box on our website, or by calling or texting us, and who have explicitly opted in to receive SMS notifications. Opt-in is collected through the chat box on our website, and when you provide your phone number while requesting service. Messages include confirmation that we received your request, updates while we are on the way, scheduling messages, follow-up after the job is complete, review requests, customer support communications, and occasional promotional messages such as special offers and service discounts for customers who have separately opted in to receive them.
2. Cancellation Instructions
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply text "STOP" to the same number that sent you messages. Upon sending "STOP," we will confirm your unsubscribe status via SMS. Following this confirmation, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, sign up as you did initially, and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.
3. Support Information
If you experience issues with the messaging program, reply with the keyword "HELP" for more assistance, or reach out directly to davidslockandkey2015@gmail.com or call or text 801-834-0453.
4. Carrier Liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies based on your service usage and the service calls you request. For questions about your text plan or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
6. Supported Carriers
Our SMS program works with all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and most regional carriers.
7. Age Restriction
You must be 18 years or older to participate in our SMS program.
8. Privacy Policy
For privacy-related inquiries, please refer to our Privacy Policy at https://davidslockandkeyut.com/privacy.html
General Terms
This website (the "Site") is owned and operated by David's Lock and Key ("COMPANY," "we" or "us"). By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and to use the Site in accordance with these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms and conditions that may apply to specific sections of the Site or to services available through the Site or from David's Lock and Key.
Accessing the Site, in any manner, whether automated or otherwise, constitutes use of the Site and your agreement to be bound by these Terms of Service.
We reserve the right to change these Terms of Service or to impose new conditions on the use of the Site from time to time, in which case we will post the revised Terms of Service on this website. By continuing to use the Site after we post any such changes, you accept the Terms of Service, as modified.
Our Services
We provide mobile locksmith services in Tooele County, Utah and the surrounding areas, including automotive, residential and commercial locksmith work, lockouts, key cutting and programming, rekeying, and safe opening and repair. Arrival times depend on where you are, weather, road conditions and what job we are already on. We give you an honest estimate when you call and we tell you the price up front.
Proof of Ownership and Authorization
We will not open a vehicle, home, business or safe without proof that you are authorized to have it opened. Expect to be asked for identification, and for documentation such as a vehicle registration, a driver license showing the address, a lease, mail, or purchase paperwork. We reserve the right to refuse or stop any job at any point if authorization cannot be established, and a service call fee may still apply for the trip. This protects you as much as it protects us.
Quotes and Payment
Prices quoted over the phone are estimates based on what you tell us. The final price can change if the actual situation is different, for example if the vehicle is a different model than described, no working key exists, the lock or safe turns out to be a different type, or the job is further out than stated. We will tell you before we do the work, not after. Payment is due when the job is complete unless we have agreed otherwise, or a motor club, insurance company or employer is covering it.
Method of Entry and Damage
We open locks by non-destructive means wherever it is reasonably possible. In some cases, including certain high security locks, damaged locks, and some safes, drilling or another destructive method is the only way in. Where that is the case we will tell you before we start and you decide whether to proceed. In those situations replacement parts or hardware are an additional cost.
Existing Condition
Locks, doors, ignitions, safes and vehicles can be worn, damaged, frozen, previously tampered with, or improperly installed before we arrive. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for failures caused by the existing condition of the item we are working on. If we see something that is likely to fail, we will point it out.
Liability
We take care with your property. That said, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for that service call, and we are not responsible for losses outside our reasonable control such as weather, road closures or the actions of others. We are not responsible for items left inside a vehicle, home, business or safe.
